Procedure for Reporting the Death of a Filipino Citizen

The death of a Filipino citizen abroad must be reported to the Philippine Embassy or Consulate exercising jurisdiction over the place of death to ensure that the occurrence of death is properly registered and recorded with the Office of the Civil Registrar General in Manila.

2. The fee for this service is $25.00 payable in cash, postal money order or cashier’s check made payable to the Philippine Consulate General. An additional fee of $6.00 will be required if the interested party wishes a copy of the Report to be returned by mail.
