between the Philippines and the U.S. Southwest, the Economic Diplomacy section of the
Consulate provides the following services

1. Assistance to American Buyers.

U.S. companies intending to source goods and services from the Philippines may be provided with the following assistance:

a. A listing of potential Philippine suppliers of products;

b. Buyer-Supplier matching

c. Import facilitation/ coordination of buying missions to the Philippines

2. Assistance to American Investors.

companies wishing to invest in the Philippines may be provided with the following services:

a. Information on investment policies, incentives and procedures, as well as on investment priority areas

b. Organize and/or assist prospective investors / investment missions visiting the Philippines

Niche Market-driven Promotional Projects US and Canada

Mabuhay 3rd Generation Pinoy Program
- The 2nd and 3rd generation Filipinos are growing in number both in the United States and Canada. They have a different cultural orientation and yet their parents and grandparents are still attached to the culture of mother Philippines. The DOT will tap this market by creating a package of incentives like discounted airfare and room accommodations when they travel to the country.

Balikbayan Golf Promotion
- Many of our fellow Filipinos in North America are avid golfers. In the past, they have come over here for some special tournaments. The DOT will again tap this market by reaching out to the Filipino communities all over and by creating incentives for their trip to the Philippines.

Balik Probinsya Campaign
- The DOT will intensify its campaign in the West Coast and in the Midwest for Filipino associations to come to the Philippines during major national or religious events such as town fiestas and Independence Day celebration and even during Christmas holidays.

Sentimental Journey
- American war veterans and their families are a big market. The DOT will create good tour packages to invite them to come to the country in April and in October for a Reunion with Filipino war veterans and their families

Medical Missions
- A number of Filipino doctors are interested to do community service in their native hometowns. In fact, in the past, several groups of doctors have already come to the country to this mission and at the same time visit their relatives and friends. The DOT will assist these groups to make them decide to come to the Philippines.

Investment Missions
- The DOT in cooperation with BOI and CITEM together with business organizations will bring groups of American Investors and businessmen to explore investment opportunities in the Philippines.
